"My coach challenged me to run a 10:30 pace for the first 10 miles and then push it in the last 5K. At mile 6, I was 1:20 fast, so I tried really hard between miles 6 & 10 to slow it down and dial it back in so I'd have enough in the tank to make the final push. I did pretty well on that front - and I was able to push miles 10 and 11. Mile 12 was really hard. I had to walk about 50 yards, but I was able to regroup and get it done. I'm really pleased with this effort. It was a great race and a great day."
